In Like a Dragon Gaiden, as in other games in the series, Kazuma Kiryu and the residents of the surrounding city like to track down and enjoy uncommon foods. Along those lines, here is our guide telling you how to find Okonomiyaki in Like a Dragon Gaiden.
Like a Dragon Gaiden – how to Find Okonomiyaki
Early in the game, you meet Akame and begin working to complete requests and missions from the various people within her network. A lot of those initial requests relate to food. You’ll need to find Okonomiyaki to satisfy one of the missions To find Okonomiyaki, find the Hiratai vendor, who sells several varieties.

The Hiratai vendor has their shop positioned on the Sotenbori River, in a row of buildings along its south side (see the above map screenshot for its precise location). The river horizontally divides the north and south portions of Sotenbori. There are wide walking paths along its north and south sides. Unfortunately, the vendor stall is easy to overlook even though it shows on your map.
When you talk to the vendor, you’ll find they have several delicious options:
- Okonomiyaki – 800 yen
- Okonomiyaki (Mochi & Cheese) – 900 yen
- Okonomiyaki (Mentai Mayo) – 900
When I saw images of the food, I thought to myself, “That looks a lot like pizza.” Apparently, the dish is more along the lines of a Japanese pancake, with various ingredients such as cabbage, seafood, and cheese for toppings.
Turn in some okonomiyaki for a nice reward
You can carry as many as 10 of each okonomiyaki variety at once. I usually like to buy a few, in case I run into someone with a hankering for the dish. In particular, you should look for the individual on the Support Map who offers the Real-Deal Okonomiyaki mission. If you complete the mission, you receive 600 Akame Points.
