Exploring the terrifying depths of Baldur’s Gate 3 is an imposing task. While you’re easily able to dispatch some of the more petty terrors on the surface, there are less fortunate travelers trapped below. Here’s the location to find Dhourn in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)!
Where is Dhourn in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Dhourn is in the Underdark in Baldur’s Gate 3, in the southeast corner just west of a Selunite temple location. You can reach Dhourn by climbing a rope ladder near the Underdark Beach waypoint and proceeding southeast. When you start to see torchstalk, the red explosive mushrooms, take a left to go northeast up a climbable wall. You’ll reach a set of rocky steps you can climb, and just along this path is Dhourn.

However, Dhourn is petrified, along with his other drow companions. You’ll soon see why. I recommend sneaking into this area to avoid drawing attention at first (press Shift+C or hold Down on the d-pad) and getting into position.
How to unpetrify Dhourn in his location in BG3
I recommend not being lower than Level 5 before approaching, as when you go out of stealth, a spectator appears.
The spectator resembles a weaker beholder but is still terrifying in its own right. It will unpetrify Dhourn in this location in Baldur’s Gate 3, turning him against you. Hit Dhourn with a weaker attack to break this hold, which you can also do on his comrades to help you. These drow are fairly squishy, so don’t depend on them too much, and consider casting some defensive spells on them.
Once the fight is over, you can speak to Dhourn. However, this will most often result in another fight unless you’re a female drow and able to persuade your way out. Defeating Dhourn will get you access to a Memory Shard and the Icy Helve.
