Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game that isn’t afraid to throw a million side quests at you. As you loot and plunder your way around the world, you will no doubt pick up all sorts of little chances for adventure. One of these can be found in the Blighted Village in the form of a blueprint for three very special weapons. All you need to do is find and use some Sussur Bark to forge them in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, you have no hints or tips as to the whereabouts of this tree.

As you progress through Baldur’s Gate 3, you will finally make your way into the Underdark. This passageway between Baldur’s Gate 3 Acts is full of light and spooky monsters. However, it is also home to the tree you have been searching for. Sussur bark can be pulled from the trunk of the glowing blue tree in these hallowed depths.

Sussur Tree location

On the far west of the Underdark map, you will find the Sussur Tree. It’s very hard to miss with its huge, far-reaching branches and blue glowing leaves. If you have picked up the quest, one of your party members will comment on it, too. Once you have reached the Sussur tree, you will have to fight to get to the trunk.

You will need to make your way over the branches towards the trunk. On your way, you will encounter a few Hooked Horrors. However, due to the thinness of the branches, I found I was able to Thunderwave or even shove them off to make the fights an awful lot easier. Once you are at the trunk, grab the Sussur bark to progress the mission in Baldur’s gate 3.

Use the Sussur Bark

Back in the Blighted Village, you will find a locked door right by the entrance. If you are able to pick this lock, you will find a forge inside. Before you progress past this point, make sure you have a dagger, a scythe, and a greatsword. The two former can actually be looted from inside the forge.

Put the Sussur bark into the forge using the menu that comes up when it is selected. The forge will glow with a mysterious blue light. You can not choose to forge a Sussur sickle, sword, or dagger using the flame. Each of these weapons applies silence on impact, making them a formidable choice in Baldur’s Gate 3.
