There are a plethora of things to collect and forage throughout the world of Palia. In this cozy semi-MMO game, you can craft, fish, hunt, and even go bug catching! You can either sell items you get, or craft them into other things. But what about Clay, how do you find and use Clay in Palia? We’ll answer all your clay-related questions below.
Palia: Clay locations and how to use
You can mine Clay with your pickaxe, and it looks like stone, except it’s reddish-brown. How you can find Clay in Palia is along the water like on a beach, and how you can use it is for crafting things such as Smoke Bombs.
Where to find Clay in Palia
First off, if you head to the western coast beach Gillyfin Cove, you’ll spot plenty of Clay. In the picture above, you can see exactly how it looks. More will spawn in occasionally, as I noticed one pop up before my eyes. I’ve also heard of Clay appearing in places like Remembrance Beach or Fisherman’s Lagoon, but the most I saw at once was at Gillyfin Cove.
Just take your pickaxe and start mining it. Typically you’ll gather around 5 clay each time. You can essentially head from the top part of Gillyfin Cove, and keep walking along the coast towards the eastern side where Fisherman’s Lagoon is for farming it.
How to use Clay in Palia
Clay is useful for a few different things, but mainly, you’ll use a single clay and a Sundrop Lily to craft 20 Smoke Bombs. This item is for catching bugs, which is used alongside your bug catching tool. Selling bugs, animal drops, and fish are some of the best ways to make money in Palia. Of course, Clay is good for other things, so make sure to collect as much as possible if you find yourself in those areas!
Palia is available for free in Open Beta.
