How to find all 4 Strange Parts in Genshin Impact

No, they're not for building your IKEA dresser.

During Mamere’s World Quest in Genshin Impact, you’ll eventually need to find Strange Parts to fix Seymour the mechanical dog. Completing this Fontaine quest is quite useful if you want to buy things from Xana, as they cost Strange Parts. There are multiple different ways to find Strange Parts, but since you’ll need four to start with, let me explain how to find all of them in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: Where to find all Strange Parts

While the quest ‘There Will Come Soft Rains’ asks you to just find four Strange Parts, you can actually find quite a few more. You can spend the extra parts you find to purchase items from Xana. How you can find all four Strange Parts in Genshin Impact is through helping the Melusines through their quests, and opening chests. You’ll start this quest with one Strange Part already, so you essentially only have to find three more.

Strange Parts from quests in Genshin Impact

Starting and completing each of these quests here will grant you a Strange Part. If you’re just looking for three parts, I recommend doing the first three quests on the list. Alongside these quests, once you collect the four Strange Parts and complete Mamere’s ‘A Brush of Seafoam and Crimson’ quest, speak to Serene, and she’ll give you four Strange Parts.

  • Hey, this isn’t Pumpkin Soup…: Speak with Verenata by the cooking pot in the village.
  • Book of Esoteric Revelations: Talk to Canotila standing in front of the tiny waterfall in the village.
  • The Lone Phantom Sail: Head to ‘The Lonely Place’ (easily accessed through the pink portals) and speak to Ahes.
  • Echoes of the Ancient World: After completing ‘Hey, this isn’t Pumpkin Soup…’, talk to Verenata again in Merusea Village.
  • Fishing Game: Talk to Iara who is fishing by the large waterfall in the southern portion of the village.
  • Strange Stone Chronicle: In the northern area of ‘A Very Bright Place’, speak with Puca.
  • Were It So Easy: Near the Merusea Village Teleport Waypoint, talk with Cosanzeana.

Strange Parts from chests in Genshin Impact

Not only can you get Strange Parts from those quests, but some of the parts are hiding in chests! The map below shows some of the chests we know to have Strange Parts inside them.
