How to farm steel ingots, leather, and components In Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

Luckily, there are only three of these things.

While Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is a more linear experience than the other recent games, you still need to upgrade your gear. By making your outfits, weapons, and tools stronger, taking on heavier enemies becomes manageable. To get more out of your gear, it’s a good idea to upgrade often and when you can. Because you will hit a wall, and that can be attributed to not kitting Basim up well. Unlike Valhalla, which had you doing raids to get a wide assortment of resources, the latest entry only has three to collect, which makes the game easier in this regard. There are a few ways to collect these resources, each with different drop rates. Below, I’ll go over which ones stand out the most and have a higher success rate.

Pickpocketing

One method — and probably one of the more common ways — is to pickpocket the NPCs that litter Baghdad. As you approach an NPC, go up behind them and a prompt will come up that you’ll need to time right. If you do this correctly, the NPC won’t notice and you can walk away without much of an issue. While the chances of dropping either steel ingots or leather is random, it wouldn’t hurt to try. I did notice that the more I pickpocketed, the more they did drop. So, consistency is key here.

Loot Chests

Another way, and with a slightly higher chance, is by finding chests that are located throughout the world. You can easily spot these chests by using your Eagle Vision. They will light up with a gold aura, standing out more. Like pickpocketing, the drops are random. However, you may stumble on some expensive trinkets to sell or a new snazzy weapon. Even if you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for, you can still get something worthwhile.

Vendors

Provided you have enough money, which can be earned in many ways, make your way to a Trader. These vendors are located everywhere in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. Each will have a different amount of steel ingots and leather. On top of that, the stock seems to reset each day. So, you can keep coming back and get what you need often. As long as you have the funds, you can quickly upgrade your gear this way.

Contracts

These can be found in all the Assassin Bureaus located throughout Baghdad. Usually, most contracts will give out a high amount of resources, but if they don’t, take a few of them to keep farming. Each contract has bonus requirements that give out more, so if you do a contract with finesse, you can quickly farm using this method. Aside from buying the items, this is the second-quickest way. You should do this mostly because you’ll not only get more money but also other things like gear or a couple of skill points.
