Mmm, Murmuring Obols. My favorite thing to collect in Diablo 4. As if the game doesn’t scratch my very mild gambling itch enough, adding the Purveyor of Curiosities has only made it better. Farming handfuls of Murmuring Obols in Diablo 4 allows me to spend this currency and get my hands on a random piece of gear. Sometimes it is fantastic, and sometimes it is trash, but either way, each time is a roll of the dice and gives me the rush I’m looking for. I have figured out how to farm Murmuring Obobls so that I can spend my whole time at the Purveyor of Curiosities like a retiree at a slot machine in Vegas.
Murmuring Obols events
As you make your way around Sanctuary, you will often notice events popping up around you. These events award, amongst other things, a quick supply of Murmuring Obols simply by participating in them. Of course, aiming for Mastery, in any event, is the easiest way to farm more Murmuring Obols in Diablo 4, so do try your best.
Once you have completed a world event, it won’t spawn back in again for a while, so waiting around for it won’t be a very effective farming method. The best thing to do is quickly travel to another city and head out into the wilderness from there. Note which cities have events close to the spawn and use those. I find starting in Kyovashad and heading towards Menestad spawns two on the way, and just on the other side of Menestad, two more appear. I then travel back to Kyovashad, rinse, and repeat to farm Murmuring Obols in Diablo 4.
Gathering Legion Murmuring Obols farm
The Gathering Legion events in Diablo 4 are precisely the kind of multiplayer mayhem I love. Players from far and wide gather together to tackle a tough challenge as a team. These missions pop up randomly throughout the map and take some serious beating to achieve Mastery.
The Gathering Legion Murmuring Obols farm takes quite a bit longer to finish than simple world events, but the payoff is more than worth it. There is a higher XP payout, much better loot, and a lot more fun, in my opinion. Keep your eye out for these white circles popping up over Sanctuary, drop whatever you’re doing, and get yourself over to them for a fun and effective Murmuring Obols farm in Diablo 4.
