Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are games that have many different directions you can go in after you’re able to roam free around Paldea. You can go in any direction you want and find something to do, thanks to the game’s three different storylines. This goes for discovering most Pokémon in the game too, as you find different types of Pokémon in different areas of the map. This also means finding different methods of evolution can become a bit tricky when you don’t know where to find the item you need to evolve the Pokémon that you want to evolve. Dipplin is one of the Pokémon introduced through the first DLC pack The Teal Mask, and requires a certain item to be able to evolve Applin into it. Here’s our guide on how to evolve Applin into Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – The Teal Mask DLC.

How to evolve Applin into Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – The Teal Mask DLC
To be able to evolve Applin into Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC, you’re going to need the item with the name Syrupy Apple. You then use this item on an Applin and you can get yourself a Dipplin.
To get this item that you’re going to need to evolve Applin into Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you’re going to want to head to the very south-east of the Kitakami map, down to the Mossfell Confluence. Down here you should see a little apple orchard with a building and a standee next to it. You should then see a yellow text box over the top of that stand advertising the fact that they’re selling Syrupy Apples. You can also see the location for this in the image above.
Once you get there, you should be able to buy one Syrupy Apple at a time for 500 Pokédollars. After you receive a Syrupy Apple, you can then head into the menu and use it to evolve your Applin into a Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You can also actually catch Applin in this area if you haven’t got one already.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available for purchase from the Nintendo Store.
