Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be extremely frustrating due to the lack of essential materials and resources. But did you know that it’s possible to duplicate items?
It’s true, and this feature becomes available pretty early in your playthrough. Here’s how to duplicate items in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to duplicate items
Players unlock the duplicating item feature in Dragon’s Dogma 2 once they reach Checkpoint Rest Town on the western side of the map. The image below shows the Town, which is located west of Harve Village.
Once you reach Checkpoint Rest Town, you need to find Ibrahim. This character is pretty well hidden, but once you speak to him, he will explain how he is excellent at forgery. An in-game tutorial will explain the forgery mechanic, but to sum up, it allows you to duplicate items.
Here is where you can find Ibrahim on the Checkpoint Rest Town map:
How does forgery work in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Forgery allows you to duplicate items and materials in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Select the forgery option at Ibrahim’s shop and select the item you want to duplicate. It takes a couple of days for the forgery to complete, so go rest somewhere and return to Ibrahim to check on the status. If enough time has passed, your item will be duplicated!
Keep in mind that you can only forge one item at a time. If you try to forge another item after already selecting one, Ibrahim will say, “Creating a masterpiece takes time, ser. Pray, do not rush me.” In other words, he is working on your forgery right now, and you will need to return later.
I can’t stress enough how helpful it is that there is a feature that allows you to duplicate items. Considering Dragon’s Dogma 2 has limited fast travel and crafting materials, Ibrahim is a savior who will make your experience much more enjoyable. For example, you can now duplicate Ferrystones! This will allow you to fast travel more often across the map.
