After the touching scene where Garl names a new settlement, the Town of Mirth, you can explore the world as you see fit. The mighty Vespertine ship is yours to command. Your first optional objective is to return to Evermist Island to tackle the Shrine Trial. The issue is, when you sail there, there’s no dock. No, it’s not just you, and the solution is rather counterintuitive. I hope you didn’t spend 30 minutes trying to ‘will’ a dock into existence like I did. This is how to dock at Evermist Island in Sea of Stars, or at least, how to get onto it.Â
How to dock at Evermist Island in Sea of Stars
To get onto Evermist Island, you must sail north to Sleeper Island instead. As that island has a Port, dock there and head west into Coral Cascades. Alternatively, check out the Port of Brisk for supplies.
In Coral Cascades, you have a ton of backtracking to do, as this is where you came from when you started your adventure.
Head west and climb the vines up the side of the waterfalls. Use the geysers to bounce your way up through the area. It’s a long way, but keep heading north whenever you can. After a couple of minutes, you’ll end up back on the world map. When you’re ready, enter Stonemasons Outpost.
Leave the Outpost via the west exit and enter the Moorlands. This is another expansive area, but keep traveling west whenever possible. Enemies are a pushover, but you should be able to run away from most encounters to save time.Â
When you reach the circle of stones, go south through the archway and continue west. You’ll eventually find a large green crystal. Push it out of the way and drop down the hole just beyond. Once you exit the cave, continue traveling west across the Moorlands. When you reach the world map, you’ll be next to X’tol’s Landing. Speak to the giant, and you’ll be thrown to Evermist Island.
If you’re here for the Shrine, step on the Geyser on the world map to be dropped right next to it.
Solstice Shrine
There’s a single puzzle inside the Shrine. Push the blue box so it runs over the pink squares in the picture above. Use the two stone blocks to stop the box from hitting the puzzle’s edges. Once you’ve completed the task, you earn a new combo skill for Zale and Valere. If you’ve not experimented with Relics yet, now is the perfect time since you can traverse the map at will. Check out our guide to see what they do.
