How to do an impossibly difficult trick on a Driftboard in Fortnite

Pull off some radical stunts in exchange for Ooze and TMNT-themed rewards

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Fortnite event is live! To get your scaly hands radical goodies in the Cowabunga Pass, you need Ooze rewarded by completing TMNT Quests. One of these asks you to “do an impossibly difficult trick on a Driftboard,” and this guide covers exactly how.

Driftboards can be found on the ground all over the Fortnite island during the Cowabunga event. You can find the spawn locations for all Driftboards on the Island in the map above. The best location I found was Grand Glacier due to its mountainous areas, perfect for performing tricks.

Although they’re sporting a righteous TMNT-inspired design, Driftboards function the same way as always. You can hover around, boost to speed up and spin to perform midair tricks. Although Drtiftboards don’t use gas like other vehicles, keep an eye on the energy bar — when it’s too low, the board stops working.

Despite describing it as an “impossibly difficult trick,” completing this Fortnite x TMNT Quest is as easy as (pizza) pie. All you need to do to “perform an impossibly difficult trick” is to jump from a high distance while on a Driftboard.

I completed the Quest by boosting off the top of a mountain above Grand Glacier, which is where I also found my Driftboard. Depending on your elevation, you may want to sneak in a few spins to ensure you earn enough points. Plus, those tricks look totally bodacious.

Whether traveling through sewer pipes or using EMP Stealth Camo, completing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle quests earns you Ooze. This Ooze contributes toward the Cowabunga Pass, which rewards you with a TMNT-themed cosmetic (or a level-up) for every 1,000 Ooze you earn, up to 11,000.

The top track of the Cowabunga Pass is entirely free for all players, though you can also choose to upgrade the pass for 1,000 V-Bucks. This unlocks the free Shredder skin and the bottom track, featuring the Super Shredder outfit and its accessories.

Completing five TMNT Quests in all six Phases also unlocks the Krang Back Bling, which is now one of my favorite cosmetics in Fortnite. New Phases go live every three days at 9 AM ET from February 9 February 24.
