How about a cozy game with the typical wide open spaces and crafting possibilities, but with mecs thrown in, too? Here, we have Lightyear Frontier, the farming game with a little extra. Building your base is an essential step in the game.
However, when you want to demolish a building in Lightyear Frontier to make some changes, it gets a little complex.
Demolish a building in Lightyear Frontier
As your base grows and develops in Lightyear Frontier, you’ll want to demolish or remove old buildings and structures. This step isn’t immediately obvious, and it isn’t explained. However, once you know how, it’s all quite simple.
Open the building menu up with the B button while you are inside your mec suit or on foot. Here, you will see the option to enter recycle mode. Press the corresponding button. On PC you can enter this mode with the H key. Once you are on the new screen, simply hover over the item or building you want to demolish and click.
This will return the materials to you so that you can place them elsewhere on the map. Base design is very important, not just for aesthetics but also for functionality. As you build and develop your base, you will no doubt want to expand and redesign. Knowing how to demolish a building in Lightyear Frontier will quickly become essential.
Do you get your materials back when you recycle?
When you choose to demolish or recycle a building in Lightyear Frontier you will receive all the materials you spent on building it. This means that there is no punishment for rearranging. This should encourage you to play around with your base a bit more, making it as pretty and useful as possible.
I have a terrible habit of letting my base buildings become untidy and disorganized. I find it best to keep everything in the correct spots rather than everything everywhere all the time. However, thankfully Lightyear Frontier will have multiplayer enabled, so I will most likely just recruit a friend to do my base building for me. I am far too disorganized.
