BattleBit Remastered features enough weapons, vehicles, and maps to keep even the most diehard fans entertained for dozens of hours. That wealth of content extends to character customization too. Since the menu is a little hidden, let me show you how to customize your character in BattleBit Remastered.
How to Customize Character in BattleBit Remastered
You can access the Character customizations by pressing the ‘Character’ button in the bottom left corner of the Map Screen. This screen is accessible at the start of a match or when you’ve died and are waiting to respawn. The Character screen is the same menu you’ll use to change your Armor. If you’re unsure how that works, check out our Armor guide.
You can customize every aspect of your soldier in this menu, from your Uniform to your Backpack. Be aware that some gear alters your stats and will impact gameplay.
This Backpack, for example, reduces the Medic’s Run and Aim speed. They also lose a Primary Gadget like a Mine or C4 but carry an extra Medic Kit. There are similar choices to make for the other Classes, and I encourage you to experiment, as there’s no right or wrong way to build your soldier.
The Helmet and Belt also modify stats, but everything else is cosmetic only. Some customizations are level-gated, and a few are unavailable for now.
Can I customize my weapon as well?
Once you’ve got your soldier as you like them, you can also change how your guns look. You can access the Loadout menu from the Map screen, and each weapon is fully customizable. Naturally, changing attachments on your firearms will change how they perform. If you want to give your gun a fresh paint job, hover your cursor over the grip to bring up the Camouflage menu.
As you can see in the picture, there are dozens of different camo’s, and most are locked behind insane kill counts. I can see the average player taking years to unlock some of these, but it’s good to have some long-term goals to aim for.
Can I purchase customizations outside the game?
At the time of writing, you can buy ‘Supporter Pack 1’ on Steam. This pack gives players new skins for their Soldiers and several weapons. The team stated in a Dev Stream that they might look into more cosmetic skins later, but it doesn’t seem like anything is set in stone. Still, there are plenty of level-gated cosmetics that will take a good while to earn.
