LEGO Fortnite is the new survival crafting-based game within the Fortnite universe, and it takes all the amazing features we know and love, including building a world with friends. Speaking of worlds, we’re going to run over how to create a shared one within LEGO Fortnite.
How to make players Key Holders in LEGO Fortnite
Players who have dabbled in Minecraft over the years know the feeling of waiting for that one friend to get online so that they can boot the Minecraft server up.
This was the fear amongst fans of LEGO Fortnite, as sometimes we want to play, and we don’t want to wait, no matter how selfish that sounds. Well, thankfully, LEGO Fortnite is actually going to have a way for players to connect to the world that their friends created without waiting for everyone to be online.
This is going to revolve around making your friends ‘Key Holders’ within your LEGO Fortnite world, and you’ll be able to make anyone you want within your game a Key Holder, so you never have to worry about people bugging you to get on.

This is the only method for the time being to create a shared world within LEGO Fortnite, and this is an amazing feature that we’re stoked about. It’ll hopefully mean that the worlds we create with our friends last longer.
As of now, the squad limit for LEGO Fortnite is 8 players, and the host of the lobby will be able to head into the game server menu with the pause button, and select which players should be key holders.
