Jumping from a great height is bad for your health, even in the afterlife. This was never too much of a problem in Valheim until the Mistlands update brought in a biome not only full of mist but also death-inducing drops. Knowing how to craft the Feather Cape in Valheim will negate the fall damage and have you drifting down to the ground as gently as, well, a feather.
With the Mistlands update came the addition of magical items and Eitr. This is a late-game addition that allows the player to craft magical items including weapons and armor. Alongside the magical items comes a whole new bar that dictates how much magic can be used. This is charged with various new foods and recipes added to the game. Most of these are collected and crafted from stuff found in the new Mistland biome, so be ready to venture into the fog.
How to craft the Feather Cape in Valheim
Before you start on the quest for weightlessness, make sure you have already built the Galdr Table. This requires a long and arduous process, but it is the key to unlocking magical items. Our guide will help you with the process and save you from having to figure it all out yourself. Once you have the Galdr Table built, preferably not too far from the Mistlands, it’s time to venture in for some grocery shopping.
- Feathers x10 – Unsurprisingly, you’re going to need a few of these for the feather cape. Chances are you already have a few stashed away somewhere. Most birds in the game will drop them, so get shooting.
- Scale Hide x5- This comes from Hares which can be found frolicking and bounding around the Mistlands. They’re abundant and have low HP but they can be tricky to catch. I would recommend a bow.
- Refined Eitr x20 – By the time you have built the Galdr Table, you’ll know what a trick this stuff is to get your hands on. You will need plenty for the Feather Cape, but it will all be worth it in the end. A few trips to the Mistlands will be in order for this one.
Collect your items together and get your art and craft on. You’ll be floating on the winds of the afterlife once you know how to craft the Feather Cape in Valheim.
