How to craft furniture in LEGO Fortnite, Explained

In LEGO Fortnite, the adventure is building, as they say. To really unleash your creativity, you’ll want to decorate your homes with some furniture.

Unlocking Furniture in LEGO Fortnite

Placing furniture in LEGO Fortnite allows you to spruce up your homes and decorate your village. Great dining areas, as well as important utilities, are possible through the furniture in the game.

To build and place furniture in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll have to first unlock the recipes. This is an organic process, although you can help speed it along.

As you progress through the game, build new stations, and collect more resources and items, related recipes using those items or resources will unlock, allowing you to build them. You won’t know what’s not available until you go ahead and find a new resource.

So, go ahead and explore! The more you uncover, the more recipes you’ll have available to you. Also, make sure to construct every station, as they could lead to new processed goods that lead to new items.

Placing Furniture in LEGO Fortnite

With the furniture that you have unlocked, as long as you have the prerequisite materials, you can build and place your furniture anywhere. Go into your build menu and head over to the furniture tab, which is located at the right end with the chair icon. Other submenus have categorized the furniture types for easier access.

Useful furniture, like beds and chests, is thrown in with purely decorational furniture, like tables and chairs. When selecting one, the material cost is shown on the right side.

If you’re unsure whether a furniture item will be purely cosmetic, or if it’ll provide a function, the best thing to do is simply build it and find out! Although beds and chests are the only useful furniture I’ve found so far, they each have their own category.

You’ll need beds to sleep and recover in — and to give visitors a place to stay. Chests are useful to store your items. Other furniture items, like chairs and candles, provide no purpose, as you can’t even sit at the tables. Unless you have an emote that emulates that, of course.

You can place your furniture virtually anywhere, although do try to make it look good.
