Some wish to have a bit more time to spend with their loved ones. Well, I just want some space to store my Wood Logs! Here is how to craft a bigger backpack in Enshrouded.
Enshrouded: How to craft a bigger backpack
The backpack doesn’t carry much at first, so you’ll need to do some quests to expand it. The key will be the Hunter Becomes The Hunted quest which will unlock the Hunter, an NPC that will be the key to crafting a bigger backpack.
Once you have saved the Hunter from the Ancient Vault and summoned her to your base, you will be able to immediately build the Drying Rack. You will only need 10 Wood Logs and six Strings. Cut those some trees and collect some Plant Fiber to craft the Strings. Then, build the Drying Rack so that you can get some Dried Fur.
Dried Fur will be an essential part of what is called a Small Backpack, but is actually bigger than your default backpack. You will need to collect one Animal Fur and three Salt. Now, up to this point you may have encountered Salt in certain caches, but it is not common to see it in the starting area. You will need to travel a bit, but thankfully the Hunter will be able to help you out.
One of the quests she will give you is to just visit Egerton Salt Mines, which will house all the Salt you need. It is northwest of the Ancient Spire tower, so you better fast travel there and use your Glider to get you close. Beware of the shroud soldiers and bugs you may encounter there, they can be particularly annoying but all are vulnerable to magic damage. As long as you use a wand, you’ll be fine.
Now, head back to your Drying Rack and craft four pieces of Dried Fur. These will help you craft the Small Backpack alongside three Torn Cloth and five String. Once you do, equip the Small Backpack and voilá! You now have an extra row of available space!
Now that you have more backpack space, things will get a tad easier moving forward. You will eventually be able to craft chests to save your outstanding resources so that you don’t have to destroy them to free up some space. For now, be wary of your available space!
