The two best ways to counter invisibility as a Light is to use Motion Sensors and Thermal Vision. These two Gadgets are extremely useful for letting you and your team know that someone using invisibility is nearby. Glitch Grenades are a personal favorite of mine and can counter invisibility for a while.

How to counter invisibility as a Medium in The Finals

Mediums have a lot of ways to counter invisibility. I recommend the Recon Senses Specialization to wall hack and see where invisible people are. Sonar Grenades are arguably the best way to counter invisibility as it lets your entire team know where the enemies are. Glitch Traps are great for countering invisibility, especially when defending.

How to counter invisibility as a Heavy in The Finals

Heavys have the least amount of counters for invisibility, but they also have a lot of health, C4, and RPGs, which make for good counters for just about anything. Dome Shield and Mesh Shield are your best bets for countering invisibility since you’ll gain protection from incoming damage.

Notice how some kind of gas Gadget is included in every class as a way to counter invisibility. This is because when anyone with invisibility takes damage, they become visible. Gas is the best way to lock down an area and keep it free of invisible people. Just make sure to keep your eyes on the edges of the gas because invisible players will hide there.

The thing about invisibility that will always remain a challenge is when they sneak up behind you, use the Stun Gun, and light you up with an SMG or shotgun. There’s no good counter to that currently.

The last piece of advice I have for you to counter invisibility in The Finals is to keep playing the game to get used to spotting invisible opponents. Like I said, the invisibility in The Finals is very difficult to see, but it does get easier with experience.

As a Light main, I agree that the main solution is that the Light Cloaking Device Specialization needs a nerf. I think the Vanishing Bomb is in the perfect spot — it takes much more time to deploy and only makes you and anyone around you invisible for around five seconds. Now, if you’re a Light trying to stop people from countering you, you need to learn how to negate gas in The Finals.
