The Shooting Practice challenge is an event you can trigger by interacting with one of these challenge structures (pictured above).

I’ve only found one of these to the north near the Withering Frontline, but more are likely scattered across the map. This challenge shouldn’t be confused with the Hover Target challenges. While these tasks are similar, a few differences completely change how to approach them.

When you start the challenge, a timer will start, and you must destroy every target that spawns before it runs out. If you fail, a prompt will display where you can restart the challenge from the start or cancel and try later. Keep in mind that challenges like this don’t have a marker on the map, so it may be best to beat it while you’re here.

While the challenge suggests you need a gun in its wording, you can complete this challenge with any character you like. I finished the challenge with Calcharo and simply followed the row of targets. Even though the targets are high up, they are all reachable with a jumping attack. I was able to hit every target with a few seconds to spare.

You can tell you’ve hit a target as the image changes into a winking emote (pictured above). While I beat the challenge with a sword user, you can complete it faster with a ranged character.

Chixia, for example, is perfect for ranged tasks, and she’s a free character. Her pistol is easy to use, and you can precisely aim, even if the controls are a little slippy. Just make sure to swap back before tackling more demanding content if Chixia is under-leveled.

If you’re struggling to see clearly or your computer is stuttering, make sure you’re using the best graphics settings. Wuthering Waves is a demanding game, but you can still make it run on older hardware.
