How to complete The Beast and the Princess Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of different things for you to discover in the open world. One of the things you can do is take time out to complete some side activities. The side quest chain, which relates to the Lucky Clover Gazette, is a long one, with you needing to complete quests at different stables across Hyrule, which also gives you the Froggy Armor as you complete the different quests. One of these quests involves finding the horned beast that Princess Zelda was reportedly with. Here’s our guide on how to complete The Beast and the Princess Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to complete The Beast and the Princess Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom

After you receive this Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom, you’re going to be on the lookout for a mystical animal that has horns. The animal that you’re on the search for is a Dondon, and you can only find it in one area of the map. You can see this area in the image below.

Here’s the location of the Dondons, and you can also see the quickest ways that I’ve found to getting there around it as fast travel points. Screenshot by PC Invasion

There are a couple ways of getting there; the first option is to just walk your way there if you don’t have any nearby landmarks that you can fast travel to. But if you do have fast travel points, there are even quicker ways of getting to the location that you need to get to that completes this Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom. You can either fast travel to the shrine that’s next to the Lakeside Stable that’s across the water from the final location, or simply make your way there from the nearby Skyview Tower, both of which you can see in the map above.

Once you arrive there, you’re going to see a few of the Dondons. These creatures can actually be used to get precious gemstones, if you feed them Luminous Stones and wait for a while. But once you’re there, you should head to the nearby hut, where there’s someone taking care of the Dondons. If you talk to her, you will complete The Beast and the Princess Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom.
