Completing the Slap Battles The Hunt quest is rather difficult, considering the bugs and other players determined to slap you off the edge. You’ll need to be careful and quick to get this Badge. It’ll be well worth it for the cosmetics, however.
How to start the Slap Battles Hunt Quest
Unlike other games, there is no initial guidance for The Hunt Quest in Slap Battles. No pop-up and no NPC to talk to. At least, no obvious NPC. To start this quest, you need to locate The Hatch in the lobby. It’s only a few steps away from where you spawn in.
When you go down The Hatch, you’ll see an NPC at the far end, The Hunter. Speak to him, and claim the top mission to complete, as this will earn you The Hunt Badge. This isn’t an easy quest, and you’ll need to earn one of the gloves first.
He says that he buried something dear to him, but forgot under which “X” he buried it. You’ll have to find the misplaced Glovel to dig up the spots to find his treasure.
How to get the Extended Glove in Slap Battles
Before you even try to begin this quest, you’ll need to earn the Extended Glove. This glove requires you to have 105 Slaps to unlock it. So you’ll have no choice but to go into the arena and slap some players.
It’ll take no more than ten minutes to gain all the slaps you need. Just make sure to time them properly to slap them before they can slap you. You will unlock other gloves on your way to the Extended Glove. Don’t worry about unlocking them, they won’t cost you any Slaps, and they make the process easier.
Once you’ve got 105 slaps, you can click on the Extended Glove in the lobby to equip them. Now let’s go after the Glovel.
How to get the Glovel in Slap Battles The Hunt
With the Extended Glove in hand, you can head over to the Castle, where the Glovel is stashed away.
To access this island, you should go to one of the islands with cherry blossom trees. Flying around the Slap Battles arena is a flying plate. It will fly close to the three islands so you can hop on.
Once on, enjoy the ride as it takes you to Castle island. When it gets close to the dilapidated bridge, you can hop on and climb up to the Castle.
Where the cannon is, on the wall below it, will be a black hole. With your Extended Glove equipped, you must interact with the hole to pull out the Glovel. Don’t try this without the Extended Glove equipped, as you won’t get the Glovel and the button will bug out, preventing you from trying again.
If the button bugs out, you’ll have to reset your character and try again. With the Glovel in Hand, we can move on to trying to find the treasure.
How to get the Hitman’s Special Trinket in Slap Battles The Hunt
There are many X spots on the islands in Slap Battles that you need to dig up using the Glovel. Only one will house the chest containing the Hitman’s Special Trinket, however.
Make sure not to die when you’ve got the Glovel. If you do, you’ll have to do the whole thing all over again. Trust me, I know. It’s as infuriating as it sounds.
I am unsure if the treasure is randomized, but I don’t think it is. I found the treasure in an X on the edge of the main island, here:
If you can’t find the treasure there, then you’ll need to keep looking around. Make sure to avoid other players as best you can, they will slap you off the edge and you’ll have to do the whole thing again. At least you’ll know which X’s not to dig at again.
The first time I found the chest, the button to open it had bugged out and wouldn’t let me open it, which was incredibly irritating. I had to do the whole thing again, so be cautious about that.
Once you’ve got the Hitman’s Special Trinket, you can reset yourself and meet the Hitman again in The Hatch. Turning it in will reward you with the Slap Battles Hunt Badge. Well done!
Now that you’ve got the Slap Battles Hunt Badge, why not focus on some that are easier to get?
