How to complete Marquee Matchups SBC (the week of 12/10/23) in EA Sports FC 24

The marquee SBC of the week.

EA Sports FC 24 is the newest game from EA Sports revolving around football. It’s a pretty great entry into their esteemed library of sports games, with the gameplay seeing some massive improvements through the addition of some new mechanics. One of the things that has stayed the same, but is still fun due to how great of a mechanic it is is SBCs. These were introduced just over 5 years ago into the franchise, and they’re a natural extension of the formula, giving you puzzles to solve that have parameters with quite a few different solutions a lot of the time. Marquee Matchups is a staple of the game at this point, and has been a weekly addition EA makes basically every time there’s a new round of fixtures. Here’s how to complete Marquee Matchups SBC (the week of 12/10/23) in EA Sports FC 24.

Belgium v Sweden

For this SBC, you need one player from either Belgium or Sweden in your starting eleven, and a minimum of two silver players in your XI. There’s also a cap of four players from the same league in this section of Marquee Matchups in EA Sports FC 24. You can complete this SBC by using a mostly bronze squad that has chemistry to make the 14 needed, and then add two silver players and a player from Belgium/Sweden if you didn’t have one in your squad already.

Uruguay v Brazil

Try to use more silver players than I did, but keep in mind that rare silver cards are usually more expensive than rare gold cards. Screenshot: PC Invasion

This section of the Marquee Matchups SBC in EA Sports FC 24 requires you to have two players from either Uruguay or Brazil in your starting XI, a minimum of three players from the same country/region, and a minimum of three rare players. You’ll also need to use silver players and above for this SBC to get a minimum chemistry of 18. My method for completing this was to use players from the Libertadores league to get the country/region requirement, and then make the rest work as needed and as cost effectively as possible by using silvers as often as I could.

Netherlands v France

For the third section in this Marquee Matchups SBC you’ll need to have at least one player from France and the Netherlands, this isn’t like the other sections in this SBC, where you need one of either, you’ll need one from each this time. You’ll also need a minimum of four countries/regions, and a minimum two gold players in your XI, and reach a chemistry of 22. For this SBC, I didn’t have enough silver players in my club to use here, so I just decided to use a Ligue 1 squad, as I had players from France and the Netherlands in this league.

England v Italy, the final SBC of Marquee Matchups in EA Sports FC 24

The final section of this Marquee Matchups SBC is England v Italy, and you’re going to need at least one player from both nations in this one. You’re also going to need a minimum of two players from the same club, and a minimum of two rare players. This SBC pretty much needs you to make a gold team from a single league, so I chose the Serie A. I then needed to add an English player and a rare player to finish the SBC.
