How to complete Diablo 4 campaign before Season 1 starts

Get the easiest task done first.

We’re finally here, we’re finally getting the much-anticipated first season of Diablo 4. There’s so much you can do to extend the story of the ARPG. However, Blizzard Entertainment has stated that we’ll need to do things on our end beforehand. For one reason or another, jumping into Season of the Malignant has some hoops. However, you don’t have to go through the following steps for each character. Do it once, and then if you create a new character, you can skip the steps and start playing. On top of that, you may not need to redo the steps for subsequent seasons. One of the requirements pertains to the story of the game. So read this guide on how to complete Diablo 4’s campaign before the start of Season 1.

Diablo 4: How to complete the campaign before the Season 1 starts

In order to start the new season you need to do the following:

  • Beat the story
  • Clear the map
  • Collect all 160 Altar of Lilith

All this is very easy to do but time-consuming, but once you do it — that’s it.

Before Season 1 starts of Diablo 4, beat the campaign. This is probably the best and fastest way to complete the other two points. Because as you progress through the story, you’ll run into many Altar’s of Lilth and clear the fog of war that’s blanketed the map. If you haven’t beaten the campaign and are side-questing or grinding, I recommend putting that on pause till you get past the story. Also to save you time use the character you have the most progression with, otherwise you’ll have a long road ahead of you.

Diablo 4’s map is the largest in the series, to accommodate the size you get mounts. This should be a priority because as soon as you get a 4-legged beast, you’ll be progressing through the story in no time. I also suggest doing the campaign in order, while Diablo 4 level scales to you whichever act you do, this may leave out certain quests such as getting the mount quickly.

But once you do this, clear up any remaining fog and unlock the altars you’ve missed. Then after all is said and done, you’ll be ready for Season 1.
