How to complete Decorate with Passion Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

What weapon do you need?

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has an innumerable amount of things to do in its open world, with even more options for completing them, meaning you’ll need to think outside the box often. For many of the shrines, there are multiple ways of solving them, and you’re bound to be thinking, “I don’t think that was the way I was supposed to do it” at the end of the puzzle. One quest that leaves things pretty open for you to experiment with is the Side Quest Decorate with Passion, which tasks you with finding something that “sparkles and radiates burning passion,” letting you find the answer yourself. If you’re stuck on this quest, however, here’s our guide on how to complete Decorate with Passion Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.

All you need to do to complete the Decorate with Passion Side Quest is find a weapon that is fused with a Ruby, or make one yourself, then show it to Boraa. When you receive this side quest in Tears of the Kingdom, you’re only left with a few hints and ideas to go by. The first is the one mentioned above, about how she wants a weapon that “sparkles and radiates burning passion” and about how you can’t use monster parts in this endeavor. Luckily enough, the answer to this riddle is simple enough.

The first step is taking out an unfused weapon, or unfuse a weapon yourself by either doing so in the menu or going to the shop in Tarrey Town to save both the original weapon and the material fused to it. Once you do that step, you’re going to need a Ruby, drop it on the ground, and then use Fuse to fuse it together with the weapon. If you need a Ruby, they’re mostly only random drop chances. You can find them from ore deposits, and from Talus fights as rare drops. I personally got my Ruby for the Decorate with Passion quest from an ore deposit in Crenel Hills Cave.

Talk to Boraa again, and show her the weapon. I’m unsure whether you need the weapon equipped or not for it to work, but I did it no problem with it equipped, so it might be worth equipping it before talking to her. After you do this, the Decorate with Passion quest will be complete.
