How to claim Black Myth Wukong pre-order and deluxe edition DLC and items

Get a headstart on your journey.

Black Myth: Wukong is a tough game, but pre-ordering the game or buying the more expensive deluxe edition can give you a headstart with some extra gear and items that will make the early stages of your adventure much more bearable.

The items don’t just automatically appear in your inventory, however, so this guide will show you exactly how to get your bonus DLC if you pre-ordered Black Myth: Wukong or purchased the deluxe edition.

How to claim pre-order and deluxe items in Black Myth Wukong

You can claim your pre-order bonuses and deluxe edition items very early in Black Myth: Wukong. After playing through the intro tutorial sequence, you’ll take control of the Destined One and begin your westward journey. At this point, you can find your DLC items at any Keeper’s Shrine.

Shrines are like bonfires in Souls games, serving as checkpoints that let you manage your equipment and refill your HP. If you have pre-order bonuses or deluxe edition items waiting for you, you’ll see an option that says Trailblazer’s Gift. Select that to claim your bonus items. Deluxe edition owners also get a digital soundtrack, which can be accessed from the Music Library function on the title screen.

Black Myth Wukong pre-order and deluxe bonuses

If you pre-order any edition of Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll receive the following items.

  • Trailblazer’s Scarlet Gourd

The Trailblazer’s Scarlet Gourd is just a different skin for the healing flask in Black Myth: Wukong, so it’s not a huge upgrade at all. It doesn’t have any major differences compared to the normal Healing Gourd. You can also obtain it later in the game without pre-ordering.

If you purchase the deluxe edition of Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll receive the following items.

  • Bronzecloud Staff
  • Folk Opera Mask
  • Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor
  • Folk Opera Leather Bracers
  • Folk Opera Buskins
  • Wind Chimes Curio
  • Selected Digital Soundtrack

The armor set, weapon, and curio you obtain with the deluxe edition of Black Myth: Wukong will show up later in the game for standard edition owners, but purchasing the deluxe edition gets you these items right from the beginning of your adventure. It’ll let you spend less time worrying about gear and more time getting used to the combat and fiddling around with the game’s settings.
