Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: How to Charge Jump
Admittedly, I always forget how to Charge Jump in Spider-Man 2. I usually end up doing the Slingshot Launch move instead which is cool but not what I want. You Charge Jump in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 by holding down R2 and X. Once you’ve built up your launch, release X and you’ll fly straight up.
Not only does Charge Jump look really cool, but it is also a great way to get around. I like using Charge Jump when I want to get high up. It’s not great for distance, but if you deploy web wings at the peak, you can really go places.
A pro tip I recommend is to use Charge Jump when there is a ceiling above you. There are many moments in campaign missions and other missions like Hunter Blinds that crawling around on the ceiling to be stealthy is required. In those moments, I recommend using Charge Jump to quickly stick to the ceiling.
What helps me remember that Charge Jump is R2 and not L2 is R2 is the primary button for running. If you mentally connect running with charging up, then you’ll never forget how to do a Charge Jump.
