How to change your Activision ID in MW3

I’ve been gaming for so many years now I have lost count. In that time, I have had so many usernames and IDs that it’s unreal. Sometimes you just grow out of them. If it’s time to change your Activision ID in MW3, simply follow these steps.

How to change your Activision username ID in MW3

You will need to make sure you have an Activision Username change token before you decide to switch up your MW3 ID. You can have up to two of these, and they get renewed every six months. When you log into your account, you will be able to view them.

Change ID in MW3

• Open MW3 and open the Options screen.
• From here, navigate to the Accounts and Network screen.
• Now, select the option for Activision Account.
• Here, you can select the option to change your Activision ID in MW3.

This will change your display name in Modern Warfare 3. Be aware that if you have used all your tokens, you will have to wait six months to change it again.

Change your Activision name online

• Go to your Activision account by logging in here.
• Go to the Basic Info tab and select Edit next to your Activision ID.
• You will have to confirm your identity with whatever factor identification you have set up.
• Once you have confirmed your identity, you can head back to the Activision ID tab.
• Here you can change your details and press save.
• Once you have hit save, you will have to enter your password and hit submit.

Once you have changed your ID this way, you will have a new display name in Modern Warfare 3. Thankfully, you won’t have to re-add all your friends. Your name will simply show up as the changed version online. Changing your name can be a great way to start afresh, making a new name for yourself in the online world.
