How to change Pawn’s voice and Inclination in Dragons Dogma 2

A personality implant.

Your Pawns, as annoying as they are, are your lifelines in Dragons Dogma 2. Sure, they chat too much, but they collect so many resources and keep enemies at bay while you do the serious stuff. However, if you want to switch your main Pawn’s annoying voice and Inclination in Dragons Dogma 2, there is only one way to do it.

How to change their voice and inclination

Once you have progressed far enough through Dragons Dogma 2 to have reached the city of Vernworth, head to the town center. Just off the market, you will see the Pawns Guild. Head into the building and talk to Neomith, the vendor on the left of the room.

This Vendor sells Incense that you can use to change the inclination and voice of your Pawn in Dragons Dogma 2. The Ambivolent one costs 500 RC, whereas the rest cost 2,000 RC. Simply purchase one to get started.

How to use the incense

To use the incense, you must head to a camp. Camps can be found all around the map and are marked with a small campfire symbol. Once you have set up camp, simply use the Incense you have bought.

Once you’re ready, use the incense and it will change your main Pawn into whichever voice and inclination you bought. This will be permanent until you buy a new one. Bear in mind that this can only be used on your main Pawn and not on one you have recruited. It would be a little cruel to send someone’s Pawn back with a completely changed outlook on life. You should only do that through trauma.

Why change your Pawn’s voice and Inclination

There are so many different combinations of playstyles in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that it is a shame not to explore them all. At one point, I picked up a Pawn called Geeza, who had one of the funniest, most condescending inclinations and voices I have ever heard. When he left, I missed him and had to go pick it up for myself. Some of the voice acting in Dragon’s Dogma 2 does my head in, but others are absolute gold.

As you play through Dragons Dogma 2, I have no doubt your playstyle will change and adapt to the game. It is important to ensure your Pawn is playing alongside you rather than against you. Changing your Pawn’s inclination and voice will change their playstyle also. However, their appearance will stay the same.
