How to catch and breed Suzaku Aqua in Palworld

A Suzaku betrayal

Suzaku Aqua is an enigma in Palworld. This Pal cannot be found anywhere on the surface, day or night. It is not impossible to get, however, just very tricky. If you really want this Pal, you’ll need to get ready to write off your next session.

Catching Suzaku Aqua in Palworld

Contrary to popular belief, you actually can capture Suzaku Aqua. This isn’t exactly common, however, and rather tricky as there is no habitat information for the Pal.

The only way to capture a Suzaku Aqua in Palworld is by fighting it as a boss in one of the dungeons on the northern Ice island. This is certainly not for any underdeveloped players, as you’ll need to frequent many dungeons in one of the hardest regions in the game.

To capture a Suzaku Aqua, you’ll want a few Ultra Spheres handy. They spawn as very high-level Pals. They are bosses, after all. It’ll be wise to bring along at least one powerful Electric Pal to weaken it before you attempt to capture it. Just don’t bother with any Fire-type Pals.

It may take a while for one to appear as a boss, but if you’ve got the levels and the means, then go for it. Otherwise, breeding may sound more attractive, although that requires almost more effort.

Breeding Suzaku Aqua in Palworld

There are only two ways to breed a Suzaku Aqua in Palworld. Either through two Suzaku Aquas or through a regular Suzaku and a Jormuntide.

So, you’ll need a Jormuntide and a Suzaku to get going. Thankfully, catching a Suzaku is rather easy, much easier than breeding for it, as in every combination, at least one of the parents is a Legendary.

Note that players who have found Large Damp Eggs in the wild have claimed that they hatched a Suzau Aqua, so if you want to do some Egg hunting instead, it may be worth your while.

Below is how to catch a Suzaku and both ways of obtaining a Jormuntide.

Catching a Suzaku

Catching a Suzaku isn’t too bad, as they spawn naturally all across the northern desert, as pictured below.

You’ll want some Hyper Spheres ready to catch them. It may be worth catching both a male and female as Jormuntide is rather hard to obtain, and you won’t want to do that twice.

Bring the heat-resistant variant with you and keep harassing the local Suzakus. They tend to spawn in separately, so it shouldn’t be too hard to capture one with the right Spheres and equipment. Just make sure your summoned Pal doesn’t take it out.

With a male and female Suzaku in your Palbox, it’s time to catch or breed a Jormuntide.

Catching a Jormuntide

Jormuntide can only be found as a Field Boss, as it is a Legendary Pal.

A level 45 Legendary Pal is not an easy target, so you’ll want a team of powerful Electric-type Pals. Be careful of the local Surfents lurking nearby, too.

As the fight will take place in a large body of water, you will want to stay around the fringes of the water and use weapons with good range and damage. The Rocket Launcher or the Assault Rifle will be viable options. Otherwise, you can keep to the edge and keep dodging any attacks sent to you while allowing your Pals to do all the damage dealing.

You’re going to want to use Ultra Spheres, at a minimum. Bring the best armor you can, and make sure your Pals are up for the task, as it won’t be an easy fight. It may be worth feeding your Pals food that will buff their attack or defense.

To make the most of your odds, when it’s low health, any shots to the body with a weaker weapon will allow you to get the boss as close to death as possible before you throw your Pal Sphere. Although it won’t increase your chances massively, it’ll certainly help.

With the Jormuntide and Suzaku in your Palbox, both separate genders, you can assign them both to a Breeding Pen and soon they’ll produce an Egg that’ll hatch a Suzaku Aqua.

Breeding a Jormuntide

Instead of going through the hassle of taking on Jormuntide, it may be wiser to breed for one instead.

There is a huge variety of Pals that can breed to make a Jormuntide. Honestly, there are at least a couple dozen combinations for it. The easiest combination by far is Relaxaurus and Elizabee.

Elizabee is a rather challenging Field Boss, but in our guide, we detail a very cheeky way of cheesing the fight.

Relaxaurus is easier to obtain, thankfully. They frolic the area detailed below.

Bring a Giga Sphere or better to capture a male and a female, just in case. With an Elizabee and a Relxaurus of both genders, you can freely breed them for a Jormuntide.

Your very own Suzaku Aqua

Whether you bred for a Jormuntide or managed to catch it (well done!), then you are free to assign them both to a Breeding Pen to watch the magic happen. Just make sure you’ve got some Cake on hand.

It may take a while for the Egg to hatch, but it’s worth the wait.

Remember that hatching one will mean it starts at level 1, so you’ll want to bring it along in your team whilst you fight powerful Pals to fast track its leveling. You’ll soon have an incredibly powerful Water-type Pal.

Suzaku Aqua isn’t a great candidate for base life, as it only has Water level 3. It may serve to replace your Watering Pals, however, freeing up more slots, as it’ll get each Watering job done very quickly. With the Crusher, you may never have to worry about Paldium Fragments ever again.

Now that you’ve got all the knowledge you need, why don’t you try to grab yourself an Anubis, too?
