One of the most important things to build in Moonstone Island is your Spirit Barn. After collecting three Spirits, you’ll soon realize you don’t have any more room for others. Once you get a Spirit Barn, you’ll be able to hatch Spirit eggs and tame new Spirits. But building this barn isn’t as easy as it sounds — there are multiple steps to achieving it. Let’s dive right into how you can build a Spirit Barn in Moonstone Island.
Moonstone Island – How to get a Spirit Barn
First of all, there are a couple of prerequisite quests you need to complete before you can get the Spirit Barn. You don’t automatically have this blueprint in your crafting menu, you’ll need to first craft a Moonstone Enchanter. This requires a Moonstone Ingot, which you can only get by smelting Moonstone through a Furnace. Finally, to gain the actual blueprint, you’ll need to finish a spirit research quest. Here are the required quests:
- Spirit Research: Taming Spirits 101 — Rewards you with Spirit Barn blueprint.
- Tame a level 5 or higher Spirit, turn in research at the Science Center, and wait for Zed’s letter.
- Furnace for a Friend — Earns you Furnace blueprint to smelt the Moonstone Ingot.
- Find a mine/cave, then sell 10 copper ore at the Smithy.

Once you complete those quests, you should finally be able to build your Spirit Barn! Interact with your Moonstone Enchanter, and you can build a Spirit Barn. It requires quite a few materials:
- 100 Wood
- 100 Stone
- Three Iron Ingots
- One Moonstone Ingot
Now you can place your Spirit Barn wherever you like. Make sure it’s a good spot since the only way to move it is by destroying it and crafting a new one. The Spirit Barn is quite large, and you can craft more things to fill it. You’ll need to make Spirit Nests and Spirit Stalls through the Moonstone Enchanter for your Spirits.
Moonstone Island is available on Steam.
