Star Wars Holotactics Halo Waves how to beat tulakt round 1 2 3 jedi survivor

How to beat Tulakt in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Holotactics

Budget and aggression.

Among the many things to do in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a mini-game known as Holotactics. Those familiar with the original Star Wars film Episode IV: A New Hope should immediately recognize Holotactics. It’s the very game Luke and Chewbacca played aboard the Millennium Falcon while on the trip to Alderaan. It’s Cal’s task to figure out how to beat a lineup of opponents in Holotactics to receive various rewards in Jedi: Survivor, and Tulakt is no pushover.

Tulakt is the third opponent Cal takes on if you follow the difficulty order from left to right. They employ a mix of units across three waves that you’ll have to beat. We’ve put together a lineup to beat each wave with a reasonable degree of success. Unfortunately, the nature of Holotactics in Jedi: Survivor is random because the units behave differently each time. This is why we cannot guarantee this lineup will work every time, but it should allow you to beat Tulakt in less than three attempts.

How to beat Tulakt in Jedi: Survivor Holotactics

Follow the unit selection and placement exactly as outlined to beat Tulakt. You can of course experiment with your own lineups, as there are many combinations that will work just as well.

Wave 1

Select a Purge Trooper Ranged Commander and place them on the back row on the far left square. Next, place two BD-1 Melee droids on the front row on the two right-most squares. These melee units will draw attention and allow the Purge Trooper to eliminate or knock down the enemy units and then mop up as the BD-1s are defeated.

The success rate of this combination is about 70%, but it retains four points for the next wave. The BD-2 can cause trouble with its infamous wrist rocket, but just try this setup again if you fail.

Wave 2

The Rawka birds do the heavy lifting for Wave 2. Place two adjacent from the Bedlam Raiders. The charge attack allows the Rawka to instantly knock out the Bedlam Raiders. Next, place two Stormtroopers at the far flanks on the front row to create a crossfire and increase their likeliness to fire their blasters. Lastly, place two BD-1 droids in the middle slot on the front and back row. These act as the final wave to clear out the remaining BD-1 droids along with Stormtrooper fire support.

When things go well, this selection makes quick work of the enemy, but the success rate is roughly 60-70% because weird things can happen. The Rawka may randomly miss the Bedlam Raiders or get shot immediately, causing the round to be forfeit at that point. It usually works like a charm though.

Wave 3

The strategy for this wave relies on a crossfire from two Heavy Stormtroopers at the back row on flank positions. You’ll also make use of a Rawka again, though you can use two just like in the previous round (one for each Bedlam Raider). Add two Scout Troopers on the flanks of the front row as well. These will slow down the Bedlam Raider without immediately dying to blaster fire from the Commando droid like BD-1 melee units do. Meanwhile, the Heavy Stormtroopers will riddle everything with blaster fire. The BD-1 is also just there to distract enemies for the Heavy Stormtroopers.

This strategy had a slightly higher success rate than the other waves, but weird things happen in Holotactics. This is because it simulates the same combat units Cal fights in the actual game. There are likely better Holotactics strategies with 100% success rates, but this is one way how to beat Tulakt so you can get the Materials reward and switch back to the main story in Jedi: Survivor if mini-games aren’t your thing.
