If you’re playing with bots, the Snow Plow is one of the toughest enemies you’ll face in the entire game. This encounter can be extremely frustrating, so let me show you how to beat the Snow Plow in South Park Snow Day.
How to beat The Beast in South Park: Snow Day
The Snow Plow, aka The Beast, appears in Chapter 3 and works very differently from any other encounter. The area is split into small arenas, each with a locked door you can’t open until every enemy is defeated. The issue is that the Snow Plow slowly drives through each arena, and the game is over if it reaches you.Â
The encounter is challenging if you are with real players, but it almost feels impossible with bots, as they aren’t great in combat. Fortunately, you can do something to make the fight easier.Â
How to beat the Snow Plow solo in South Park Snow Day
You’ll never defeat every enemy in an arena by yourself, so I recommend running to the locked door and beating every enemy nearby. The Snow Plow will knock out anyone it hits, even enemies. If you clear out threats by the door, the Snow Plow will beat everyone else for you, and the door will unlock. Don’t be afraid to use your Bullshit Cards to tip the scales in your favor, as if you lose here, you must repeat the entire chapter.
This strategy is a little dicey as enemies can be pretty hard to see, but after over an hour of attempts, this is the only way I could beat the Beast.
The final part of this challenge is to turn on generators around the area. Fortunately, The Beast doesn’t move here, which is good as the place is crawling with ranged enemies. I recommend taking your time and defeating everyone before turning on the generators, as they can interrupt you otherwise.
If you’re really struggling, there is another way to clear Stage 3, albeit tedious.
How to skip the Snow Plow fight in South Park Snow Day
In Chapter 3, you must complete two tasks before challenging the Stan. The game will select quests from a small pool, but it’s possible to miss the Snow Plow altogether if it isn’t chosen.
In my testing, I managed to get the collectathon from Jimbo and the quest to light beacons around the area, which skips the Snow Plow. You may have to restart the Stage a few times, but avoiding the battle altogether is possible.
Chapter 3 is by far the hardest part of the game for me. The Snow Plow is dangerous, and even the boss battle is challenging. If you feel underpowered, you can farm the Horde Mode for extra Dark Matter, as those upgrades add up.
