Best strategies and techniques to beat the Red Prince in Remnant 2

The Red Prince is a boss in Remnant 2 that has heavy-hitting melee attacks and flamed ranged attacks. Luckily, the Red Prince is fairly slow, so predicting when he’ll attack isn’t too hard.

When you first enter the arena, unload on the Red Prince, and make sure to use your Weapon Mods to deal extra damage. The Red Prince will use his ranged flame fan attack that sends five projectiles out at you.

Be sure to dodge the flame fan attack by rolling out of the way, standing in between where the flame fans spread, and watching out for the second attack where the Red Prince calls the flame fan projectiles back. I found that a good way to avoid the flame fan attack is to fall down to the lower section. If you do this, you eliminate all chances of getting hit.

After dealing with one-third of the Red Prince’s health, he’ll send out two or three echoes of himself. I found it better to deal with these flame echo Red Princes as fast as possible because if you don’t they’ll end up dealing more damage to you in the long run. Simply, run up the stairs to the first level and shoot the flame echoes — while watching out for the real Red Prince’s ranged attacks.

Note: If you are having trouble defeating the Red Prince, return to Ward 13 and decide if you should upgrade your weapons or buy new ones.

Around the halfway point, the Red Prince will launch a massive inferno attack that envelops the entire room. You need to roll over the initial attack, and then, to avoid taking damage by this attack, simply stand in the middle of the room and wait for the Red Prince to appear.

When the inferno is tight, the Red Prince will appear in the middle and try hitting you with high-damage melee attacks. Usually, when he swings, he swings twice or three times. Also, you’ll likely want to roll early like I usually do, but if you do that, you’ll end up taking damage. You need to wait for the exact moment the Red Prince swings and then roll twice or three times to avoid his hits.

After his attacks, take a few seconds to shoot at him, otherwise, this inferno section won’t end. After getting the Red Prince’s health about two-thirds down, the inferno section will end. At this point, give the Red Prince everything you’ve got to end the fight fast. However, don’t get too eager because you’ll be really upset if you die from a forgotten attack at this point.

With a bit of patience and practice, you’ll defeat the Red Prince. Now, you can push forward and figure out how to get past the Water Harp puzzle.
