How to beat the Eyeless Dog in Lethal Company

Stay quiet!

Out of all the creatures in Lethal Company, I think the Eyeless Dog is one of the toughest to escape from, so how do you beat it? This blind dog has no eyes, but can hear you from far away.

If you come across this creature outside on one of the moons, you’ll have a tough time getting past it. Here’s how to survive this mangy monster.

Lethal Company: How to survive Eyeless Dogs

When it comes to a monster who can hear you speak through your microphone, that doesn’t bode well for your survivability. There have only been rare cases where I’ve been able to survive against this monster. Here are some tips for how you can beat the Eyeless Dog in Lethal Company.

  • Turn off walkie talkie and don’t speak: This beast can hear you speak, even if someone is talking to you through a walkie-talkie. Turn the device off, and make sure to stay completely silent while trying to escape from this blind dog.
  • Crouch walk: Although up close they can still hear you crouch walking, when far away enough crouching is the best way to get away. Press the ‘Ctrl’ button to crouch, which will allow you to walk even slower and quieter than normal.
  • Get rid of noisy items: Items like the Boombox will attract the Eyeless Dog, or others like the Robot Toy. It should be a given, but don’t use items like the Loud Horn, or else they’ll definitely hear that loud noise.
  • Hide on top of the ship: While the Eyeless Dog can jump inside your ship through the open doors quite easily, they can’t get you from up top. Climb the ladder to the roof of your ship and hide there if you’re on camera duty and spot this monster.

Can you kill the Eyeless Dog?

Fortunately, you can kill nearly every creature in Lethal Company, with the right weapons at least. Items such as the Shovel, or anything else you can use to hit monsters with like a Stop Sign, can damage the Eyeless Dog.

The Shovel is purchasable through the Computer Terminal, but you’ll find Stop Signs throughout the facilities. I’d only recommend this if you have a group of people attacking it, allowing others to jump in and get some hits in. But beware – one bite leads to death.

You can also try a Stun Grenade to stun the blind dog before attacking. Otherwise, another great item is the Zap Gun, which can effectively stun the Eyeless Dog enough for you to attack it. But honestly, if you don’t have any of these items, your best bet is to stay quiet and slowly creep away from it.
