How to defeat Opulent Hands in Persona 3 Reload

Opulent Hands appear on floors 119 to 144 of Tartarus and operate just like any of the other rare Hand-type enemies in Persona 3 Reload. They have high evasion and can run away within one or two turns if you haven’t managed to defeat them yet. That’s part of what makes them so annoying to fight. But Opulent Hands does have a weakness that’s easy to exploit.

The key weakness of Opulent Hands is Strike damage. These are attacks indicated by a fist icon and can be used by some fusible Personas, as well as Junpei and Akihiko. And since Opulent Hands only has 700 HP, fights against them shouldn’t be too rough.

The best strategy to taking them down

The first thing you should do in a fight against an Opulant Hand in Persona 3 Reload is use Sukunda against it. This decreases the accuracy and evasion of the target and will make it less likely that the enemy will dodge your attack. To be on the safe side you can cast Sukukaja on whoever can deal Strike damage to try and guarantee the hit.

After you’ve set that up, go all in with as many Strike attacks as you can. Again, both Junpei and Akihiko should have access to Strike skills. And Akihiko’s standard attack also counts as Strike damage. So if you’ve got those two on the team, battles against an Opulent Hand should be no trouble at all in Persona 3 Reload. As for fusible Personas, Forneus comes with Bash which will work perfectly for this fight.

The goal is to trigger an All-out Attack as soon as possible to rack up damage. So try and get those attacks out as quickly as you can. If the Opulent Hand runs away, don’t worry too much because it’ll likely respawn sometime down the line, If you want to practice taking Opulent Hands down you can always head back and take on some Precious Hands too.
