The Card Carnival puzzle challenges in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are some of the most brain-scratching puzzles in this game, so how can you beat them all? There are over a dozen challenges to beat, but we’ll outline all solutions for them.

FF7 Rebirth: All Card Carnival puzzle solutions

One of the best minigames in FF7 Rebirth has to be Queen’s Blood. But the Card Carnival in Costa Del Sol bumps this game up to a whole new level. Split up into their respective categories, here’s how you can beat all the Card Carnival puzzle challenges in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Card Carnival — Easy Card Puzzles

The Easy Card Puzzles are just the start of a long and arduous battle in Card Carnival. If you pass these, you’ll have the basics down on how this minigame works. The enemy never moves in Card Carnival, only you place your cards down in a specific combination to try and beat the enemy side.

Three Card Stud

1. Fleetwing on the bottom row.
2. Zu on the top left.
3. Quetzalcoatl in the middle row.

Go for Choco-Broke

1. Fat Chocobo on the bottom left corner.
2. Posh Chocobo on the bottom right.
3. Chocobo & Moogle on the bottom middle.

Mischief-Making Moogles

1. Moogle Trio in the center-left.
2. Moogle Mage at the bottom right.
3. Fleetwing in the center row.
4. Moogle Bard in the top left.
5. Grasslands Wold in the bottom left.

Card Carnival — Advanced Card Puzzles

Now this is where things start to get a little tougher. You’ll be given more cards, especially ones with unique abilities. It’ll require you to think three steps ahead and outside of the box.

Spears and Needles

1. Spearhawk top right.
2. Another Spearhawk below it.
3. Cactuar to the left of the top Spearhawk.
4. Querzalcoatl on the bottom row.

Sea Devil by Night

Sea Devil by Night is different than most challenges here because you’ll have to allow most of your cards to disappear and get removed. Once you place down the Security Officer and two Sea Devils, you can just place the Mandragoras either on the bottom middle spot, or you can place some in the middle left-most spot. Don’t worry, it’ll make sense once you see your points slowly go up.

1. Security Officer on the bottom middle spot.
2. Sea Devil in the center row.
3. Another Sea Devil on the left bottom row.
4. All Mandragoras on top of the bottom middle spot.

A Kingly Clash

1. Zu on the top right.
2. Another Zu on the bottom right.
3. Tonberry King in the center-right.
4. Deathwheel on the top left.
5. Another Deathwheel on the bottom left.
6. Mindflayer in the center-left.

One Shot, One Kill

1. Bomb in the center-right.
2. Another Bomb at the top right.
3. Bloatfloat in the bottom center.
4. Scrutineye in the bottom right.
5. Dyne in the center-left.

Curse of the Gi

This challenge requires a lot of cards on top of other cards, which can sound a lot more confusing than it is. If you follow these instructions exactly, you’ll easily figure out how to beat the enemy’s high score.

1. Sandhog Pie in the center-left.
2. Desert Sahagin in the top right.
3. Jabberwock in the center-right.
4. Crystalline Crab in the bottom right.
5. Riot Trooper in the bottom left.
6. Griffon on top of Riot Trooper.

Card Carnival — Collection Challenges

I find these Collection Challenges to be a lot easier than the rest, especially since you only have to place a few cards per challenge. As a reward, you’ll receive each of these character’s Queen’s Blood cards.

Collector’s Card: Cloud

1. Security Officer on bottom row.
2. Cloud in center-left.
3. Sephiroth in center-right.

Collector’s Card: Barret

1. Toxirat is on the top right.
2. Sandhog Pie on the bottom right.
3. Bomb between them in the center row.
4. Insectoid Chimera on top of Bomb.
5. Barret to the right of Insectoid Chimera.

Collector’s Card: Tifa

1. Cactuar on top left.
2. Spearhawk in center-middle.
3. Deathwheel below Spearhawk.
4. Tifa to the right of Spearhawk.
5. Griffon on top of Deathwheel.

Collector’s Card: Aerith

1. Aerith on top left.
2. Leviathan on top right.
3. Mandragora on the bottom left.
4. Mandragora Minion on top left.
5. Adjudicator on the bottom right.

Collector’s Card: Red XIII

Collector’s Card: Cid

As a reminder, it may look like you’re only placing four cards, but after placing Cid you receive a card named Tiny Bronco. You’re also getting to know more about the cards that replace other cards, which can make these challenges even more difficult.

Collector’s Card: Vincent

Card Carnival — Skill Drills

If you’re worried that the Skill Drills are the hardest of all the challenges, don’t worry. Skill Drills are easier than the Advanced category, and you always play with around three to four cards per challenge.
