How to beat 16-30 in Cookie Run Kingdom

Sweet victory.

Cookie Run Kingdom offers a compelling world full of cookies, icing, monsters and heroes. By the time you reach 16-30 in World Exploration, you will have had all sorts of adventures across multiple regions. But this might be your most harrowing challenge yet. Here’s our guide explaining how to beat 16-30 in Cookie Run Kingdom.

When you reach level 16-30, The Wizards’ Plaza, you’re in for a rude awakening. The boss, Fiery Star’s Wrath, can knock characters out of the action with one of its frequent area attacks, even if you have powered them up quite a lot.

There’s no specific party formation that you absolutely must assemble for the battle. However, my research shows a few characters that tend to be part of the team. For healing, you’re going to want to bring Pure Vanilla or someone similarly capable. A lot of players find Cotton is a solid pick. You might also include Sherbet, who can deal ranged damage from a middle position. Another leading option is Rye.

The boss is immune to debuffs. While a boss strategy would typically involve using debuffs to produce weaknesses to exploit, in this case you should instead rely on heavy hitters and tanks so your characters survive an attack or two and can counter with serious damage. On Reddit, saddness270 recommends Rye, Squid Ink, Moonlight, or Black Pearl as characters who can make short work of the boss’s protective shields.

Whatever characters you settle on for your team composition, level them sufficiently. Level 65 is recommended and level 70 is better still, so don’t be afraid to grind a bit if needed. Also accept that you need to actively control what everyone is doing throughout the battle (and when). Let them step into their natural roles and formation positions, but pay attention to your foe so you don’t miss opportunities to heal when recovery is in order, and to strike when appropriate.

For treasures, bring along the Scroll and Watch. The Hollyberrian Royal Necklace can also prove useful to recover from the aforementioned area attacks. For toppings, you want a lot of Almonds. Try to have the Statue of Heroic Radiance at at least level 20. As always, more is better. Also check out the following video from HyRoolLegend, which has solid advice on one proven approach to the battle.

As you can see, you’ll need to play the game a lot in order to encounter and power up the characters that work best for you. When progressing through the campaign, build out your army on the way to the showdown in 16-30. Prioritize any of the characters and gear listed above so you can come prepared with minimum effort wasted.
