Tears Of The Kingdom How To Avoid Lightning Strikes

How to avoid lightning strikes in Tears of the Kingdom

Very very frightening.

Running around in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is incredibly fun. The open-world, as massive as it is, has a lot for you to do within it, and running around and exploring every nook and cranny is a great way to find all the little secrets the world has to offer. That is if the weather’s nice, because when the weather is all doom and gloom, it becomes harder to traverse around Tears of the Kingdom’s immaculate world. Rain stops you from climbing walls as efficiently, unless you have certain items, and lightning strikes can kill you at little notice. Lightning strikes in particular can get very annoying, but luckily, you can avoid them pretty easily. Here’s our guide on how to avoid lightning strikes in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to avoid lightning strikes in Tears of the Kingdom

Avoiding lightning strikes in Tears of the Kingdom is something you can do very easily. If you’re holding a weapon that’s metal, you’re going to want to swap it for a wooden weapon, or any weapon material that doesn’t conduct electricity. This is also the case for shields and bows as well, meaning that you might need to go switching out your entire arsenal to get by without lightning hitting you directly.

This doesn’t necessarily help you avoid being hit by the random lightning strikes that come down across the land, but those are almost impossible to predict so it’s hard to get out of the way of those. I haven’t had one of those hit me yet, but maybe I’m just getting lucky. What this does do is stop the lightning strikes that are directly targeting you, which you’ll know are coming by seeing some electricity pulsing on your back/drawn weapon.

If you want to avoid the rain and lightning strikes altogether, there’s an easy way of doing that too. All you have to do is go to a fire or anywhere you can rest, sit down, and rest for a while and you should be able to pass enough time that the rain and lightning strikes will go away.
