How sieges work in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria

You better be keeping score...

In Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, you will be facing off against the other evil forces that still stir from the days of the Fellowship. Goblin and Orcs survivors and other such evil forces are opposed to your presence.

Hankering for your flesh and craving destruction, they will lay siege to you to fulfill both desires. Here is how sieges work in Return to Moria.

Sieges in Return to Moria

A siege in Return to Moria is a random event that can happen at any time when you’re in your camp. Whether you’ve just got back, you’ve just woken up, or you’ve been in there for a while, a siege will start. You can tell this has occurred by the text on screen and the torrent of enemies that will be storming your base.

You will have to get into gear quickly, as these enemies will have two objectives: to kill you and destroy the base. You will need to be quick and attack as quick as you can, otherwise they’ll destroy structures and maybe even kill you.

Make good use of your charged attack and make sure to engage enemies that are off destroying your other stuff. Even after killing some enemies, more will enter and continue the attack until it is over.

Winning or losing a siege in Return to Moria

Sieges won’t last long whether you win or lose the siege in Return to Moria. You can win, or outlast, as siege by constantly killing the enemies and denying them their winning parameter in the time frame. Keeping them at bay for long enough will force them to retreat, and you’ll survive.

The enemy will win the siege if they have destroyed enough of your stuff before the specific time limit is reached. They will hastily retreat, having caused enough havoc to satisfy them. If they had targeted a storage item, all of your items will drop out safely, so don’t worry about losing anything. You’ll just have to rebuild the items they destroyed.

Whether you win or lose a siege, nothing really happens. At best, you don’t have the minor inconvenience of having to rebuild a bit of furniture. Remember, they can drop in at any time, so make sure you’ve got plenty of spare resources and back-up gear!

I hope this has been helpful, and that you will mount your defenses accordingly. For more Return to Moria assistance, head on over to PC Invasion.
