In Monopoly GO, your primary activity and sole use of your cash is building up different boards, each of which is a different and exciting location. From New York to a dog park to the entire Victorian Era, these boards represent your progress in the game. But just how many are there for you to complete?
How boards work in Monopoly GO
As you go round the board and get cash from passing GO or by shutting down your friends, you need a place to spend it all. That’s what the boards are for. Each board has five attractions connected by a theme, and you will spend money building them up and increasing their value.
Each level gained on an attraction provides you with one networth, and you’ll get rewarded for reaching certain networth levels. All of the cash you gain will be pumped right into these attractions and buildings, until you’ve built them all up.
Additionally, each upgrade grants you one house, which will be put on the board like in regular Monopoly. They will be randomly distributed, and each will increase the rent payment that another player will pay if you land on them visiting. For every 5th green house, you’ll get a hotel on that land, and if you get hotels on all properties of the same color, they’ll reset back to empty, but keep their value!
Once a board is completed, you will get rewarded a hefty prize and will progress onto the next board, with a new theme for you to build up. It may seem like these boards go on forever and ever, but there is in fact an end, and I’ve done all of the scrolling for you.

How many boards are there in Monopoly GO?
If you have the patience, you can navigate to the ‘map’ button in the menu to be shown the road map of all the boards in the game. If you were to keep scrolling up, you’d hit board 131 – Monopoliton’s Ball. That’s right, there are currently 131 boards in Monopoly GO.
New boards will be added as Scopely deems them fit for release, so there technically isn’t an upper ceiling yet. As new boards are added, they’ll be silently placed above the most recent board on the map, but I’m sure you’re not worrying about hitting that ceiling any time soon!
