Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth – How long is the demo?

Square Enix is vastly known within the gaming industry, and perhaps their most documented titles are the Final Fantasy series, and this was evident during 2023’s release of FF16.

Now, a new year means a new opportunity to release a star game, and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth aims to be just that, as the game has now released a fully-fledged demo, fixed with some incredible mini-games and content.

This is a good chance to see if you’re interested in picking up the title when it releases on February 29, and for those wondering, the demo sits at around 90 minutes to two hours. This all depends on how much exploration or how long you find yourself playing the piano as Cloud, but there’s a decent bit of content to check out here.

There are also going to be some enticing features within the demo, as players will indeed have their saves transferred over to the main game when it premiers so that it won’t be a waste of time. However, we recommend checking out part one of the demo, as Square Enix has mentioned there will be a second part released on February 21.

This should give players more than enough time to decide if the game is for them, so we’re amped to see if players are as amped for it as we are! One exciting feature that Square Enix showcased during the State of Play was how each character has their own way of interacting with the game’s vast open world. For instance, Yuffie will be able to swing across gaps easily, and Tifa will have access to a grappling gun.

In the meantime, check out all the other Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth content we have by heading over here.
