What is Vehicle Management in Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged
Vehicle Management is a new feature introduced through Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged that acts as the game’s vehicle upgrade system. From this option, players can upgrade three aspects of their vehicles, and each upgrade falls under any of the three tiers. Every tier and upgrade is the same for all of the vehicles, but players need to spend credits on each vehicle separately.
Vehicle upgrade tiers
Stock
The stock is a first tier of upgrades available in Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. In this tier, three upgrades are available, one from each type: Handling, Boost, and Obstacles.
Powered
Powered is the second tier of vehicle upgrades in Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. In this tier, five upgrades are available. Two from each of Handling and Boost, and one from the Obstacles type. This tier needs to be unlocked by using 1 Upgrade Kit.
Ultimate
Ultimate is the third and final tier of vehicle upgrades in Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. In this tier, seven upgrades are available. Three from each Handling and Boost, and one from Obstacles type. This tier also needs to be unlocked by using 1 Upgrade Kit.
Vehicle upgrades and their types
Handling
- Maximum Grip: Increases the handling while drifting but reduces the Boost Charge gain while drifting.
- Lightning Dash: Increases the acceleration but reduces the passive Boost Charge gain.
- In Pursuit: Increases the speed gain while exploiting a slipstream but reduces the Boost Charge gain.
- Improved Braking: Increases the braking power but reduces the passive Boost Charge gain.
- Lightweight: Reduces the vehicle’s weight but also reduces the strength of the Dash.
- Improved Dash: Increases the strength of the Dash but also increases the amount of Boost Charge needed to perform it.
Boost
- Quick Charge: Speeds up the gain of Boost Charge while drifting but reduces the handling of the drift.
- Upgraded Boost: Increases the power of the Boost but decreases the acceleration.
- Kinetic Charger: Increases the Boost Charge gain while exploiting a slipstream but decreases the speed while driving in a slipstream.
- Recharging Dynamo: Increases the passive gain of the Boost Charge but decreases the maximum speed.
- Controlled Dash: Reduces the Dash’s Boost Charge consumption but also reduces the lateral movement.
- Phase Inverter: Change the type of Boost.
Obstacles
- Unstoppable: The vehicle is immune to Barriers, Tornadoes, and Webs of the “Spider Ambush” module.
- Coriaceus Armor: The vehicle is immune to Ghosts, Holographic Barriers, Ice Pools, and Bat Attack.
- Adamantine: The vehicle is immune to the “Angry Dragon” module, “Poison” pool, Conveyor belts, and the Gatorgeyser jet.
