As if playing soccer with cars wasn’t already addictive enough, developer Psyonix are ready to take the next step in Rocket League: basketball!  Rocket League will soon give players the option to shoot some hoops with a new, big and free update called “Hoops Mode” on April 26.
Hoops Mode will be accompanied by a new Dunk House arena, which will also come for free. The only thing that will cost you some money, is the officially-licensed NBA Flag Pack, which will contain the logos of all 30 NBA teams. It will run at $2, but all players will be given one NBA logo flag for free when they update the game. Sounds like a great deal, again.
You can watch the official announcement trailer below, which does not include a lot of details regarding the much-anticipated Hoops mode, but it seems enough in order to get an idea of how the whole cars-gigantic-basketball-gravity thing is going to work. Psyonix added that more information about the update will be released throughout the week.
