Honkai Star Rail: Best Herta team comps

Kururin!

Honkai: Star Rail has a large roster of free 4-star characters that all players will obtain while progressing through the game. One of these characters is Herta, the captain of the Herta Space Station. Herta specializes in dealing AoE damage with her unique Passive, which causes her to swing and deal some decent Ice damage once enemies reach 50% HP or lower in a given hit. Herta is not too strong in boss content but can be a decent asset to farming teams or for certain fights in the Simulated Universe, giving her a unique niche. Here’s our guide on the best team comps for Herta in Honkai: Star Rail.

Herta is an Ice Erudition character and is free for all players after completing part of the Simulated Universe. Herta’s Talent allows her to perform a follow-up attack after an enemy reaches 50% HP or lower. This can help teams clear certain farming fights quickly, such as when farming for certain materials. Unfortunately, Herta’s role is quite limited, as she suffers against boss content due to her Talent only proccing once per enemy per fight. This can make her a relatively weaker character to play, but there are still teams where she can shine. Here are some units she pairs well with:

  • Himeko: Himeko is another Erudition character who excels in making farming content easier. Equipping a full Erudition team can easily speed up any AoE-heavy content while you’re farming for certain materials, perhaps to earn credits or earn materials to level up your characters. Himeko’s follow-up attacks can also make this a viable Elation-path team in the Simulated Universe, combined with other units like Jing Yuan and Serval.
  • Tingyun / Bronya / Asta: Herta is not a particularly strong unit to bring in boss content, due to her overall low damage and weak passive versus single-target scenarios. However, this won’t stop some of you from building Herta as a main DPS unit, and like any main DPS, Herta will want to be supported by units that can increase her damage, such as Tingyun, Bronya, and Asta.
  • Seele: Herta can work as a sub-DPS unit to provide some additional damage with other strong hypercarry characters. Seele, for example, can reliably target enemies and drop their HP to less than 50%, due to her strong damage. As Seele gains resets per enemy defeated, this can cause Herta to execute numerous follow-up attacks.

With these tips in mind, here are some potential team comps:

  • Herta / Himeko / Jing Yuan / Serval
  • Herta / Tingyun / Bronya / Natasha or Bailu (healer units)
  • Herta / Seele / Tingyun or Bronya / Natasha or Bailu
