Honkai Star Rail: Best Build for Welt – Relics, Light Cones, Eidolons and Abilities

Imprison your foes.

Honkai: Star Rail has a large roster of 5-star characters for you to obtain and use in some intense battles. Welt is a strong debuffer who can imprison enemies and reduce their action turn, allowing your team to act first. He also deals some great damage on his own, acting as a potential sub-DPS character to help add to your offensive prowess. Welt is also one of the few Imaginary characters in the game, allowing him to fulfill a unique niche in breaking enemy weaknesses. For this, you’ll want some of Welt’s best Relics, Light Cones, and Eidolons. Here’s our guide for Welt’s best build in Honkai: Star Rail.

Light Cones

Welt is a Nihility character, meaning he specializes in debuffing the enemy. As a result, he will need a strong Nihility weapon to pair up with him, potentially empowering his debuffs or the damage he deals against debuffed enemies. Welt’s signature 5-star weapon is actually available to purchase in the shop with currency, making his ideal build somewhat expensive yet accessible.

The best light cone for Welt is his signature 5-star weapon In the Name of the World. This weapon increases the wearer’s DMG to debuffed enemies by 24%, increasing their Effect Hit Rate for their Skill by 18%, and increasing the wearer’s ATK by 24%. This is a ton of great boosts to Welt’s stats and helps him deal heavier damage against enemies affected by his debuffs. This requires you to pull the weapon or to spend 600 Undying Starlight, so this might be too expensive for you to reasonably obtain. Battle Pass users can instead take advantage of the weapon We Will Meet Again, which deals additional damage equal to 48% of the wearer’s ATK to a random enemy you attack.

Free-to-play weapons are a little harder to come by. Good Night and Sleep Well increases DMG dealt by the wearer based on how many debuffs the target enemy has, which is useful with Welt’s kit. For 3-star options, you can use the weapon Loop which increases DMG dealt to Slowed enemies by 24%, which is useful as Welt can slow with his Skill.

Relics & Eidolons

For his 4-piece set, we recommend using the Wastelander of Banditry Desert set. This increases Welt’s Imaginary damage by 10% and the wearer’s Crit Rate against debuffed enemies by 10%. Additionally, this set increases their Crit DMG against imprisoned enemies by 20%. You can use the Thief of Shooting Meteor set as an alternative if you do not have a complete Wastelander of Banditry Desert set. For his 2-piece set, we recommend using an offensive set based on which stats you need more, Crit Rate or Crit DMG. The Celestial Differentiator or Inert Salsotto set are your best bets here, as they can increase either Crit DMG or Crit Rate respectively.

Welt’s Eidolons are difficult to come by as he is a 5-star character. Welt’s most important Eidolons are his first and second Eidolon, the former increasing his damage and the latter increasing his energy regeneration, allowing him to use his Ultimate more.
