Transfiguration spell and adding new furniture

You’ll learn about how to customize Room of Requirement decorations in Hogwarts Legacy with the help of Professor Weasley and Deek the house elf. Evanesco, the spell that removes furniture and obstacles, is something you already know thanks to the aforementioned quest. Soon, the professor will teach you Transfiguration. Here’s the gist:

  • Transfiguration lets you add new furniture and fixtures in your hub. As usual, they cost Moonstones.
  • You can acquire devices and decorations via blueprints from the Tomes and Scrolls shop in Hogsmeade, or from chests scattered throughout the game world. Some are also given as rewards for completing challenges.
  • The objects you place in your hub can be rotated and resized. You may also toggle the auto-snap feature.
  • To remove an object, you still need to target it with Evanesco.

Altering spell and changing designs

Next, you’ll get to use the Altering spell. It only works on permanent fixtures in the Room of Requirement (i.e., anything that you didn’t add personally, such as the walls and floors). With it, you can change the patterns or colors of your surroundings. It’s also possible to press a button prompt that applies the changes to all permanent fixtures in keeping with the color scheme.

Choosing another layout

It’s also possible to completely change the layout if you really wish to customize the Room of Requirement in Hogwarts Legacy. To do this, talk to Deek and he’ll present a few options:

  • Warm and cozy.
  • Cool and moonlit ambience.
  • Natural and earthy.
  • Dark and mysterious.
