Hogwarts Students Standing By Staircases / Hogwarts Legacy Will Be Shown At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022

New Hogwarts Legacy gameplay will be shown during Gamescom Opening Night Live

Hogwarts has a lot to show.

Hogwarts Legacy, the new open-world RPG set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, has been a hot topic. It’ll let Harry Potter fans live out their dreams of creating a student and enrolling in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We last saw the game in action during a Sony State of Play event earlier this year, and it looks like fans will get a look at new Hogwarts Legacy gameplay during Gamescom later this month.

Geoff Keighley announced that Gamescom Opening Night Live will feature Hogwarts Legacy in a Tweet, stating viewers will get “an exclusive new look” at Hogwarts Legacy during the show when it goes live on August 23.

Just last week, Hogwarts Legacy was delayed to February 10, 2023. The developer said that it needs “more time to deliver the best possible game experience.” The news was likely disappointing for players were looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy, but a fresh look at the game during Gamescom should hopefully satiate fans a while longer.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the numerous games that Keighley’s Opening Night Live event will feature, which you can tune into on August 23 at 1:30 PM ET. There will also be a 30-minute-long pre-show. Keighley provided some details about what viewers can expect from the show on a Twitter Spaces conversation that was transcribed by Video Games Chronicle.

“More than 20 games will be on stage: it’s going to be a big spectacle. We have some very cool guests that are coming to Germany to join us on stage as well to reveal their games and showcase new content. We have a mix of games that have already been announced and a fair number of new games announced as well.”

Hopefully, that means we can expect some fun surprises and substantial updates to upcoming games on the horizon.
