Hogwarts Legacy Clock Tower puzzle guide

To solve the Clock Tower puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy, you’re going to need the following spells: Glacius, Confringo, and Alohomora. The reason for this is due to the puzzle mechanics. Basically, there are four symbols seen just above the giant clock’s hand/pendulum. The doors will only remain open if the clock stops right in front or very close to their respective symbol. That’s why you need Glacius to freeze the mechanism, and Confringo in case you need to unfreeze it (though the effect will wear off after several seconds). Alohomora, meanwhile, is necessary to open a couple of locked doors.

Door #1

  • For the Hogwarts Legacy Clock Tower puzzle, we’ll work our way from the leftmost symbol to the rightmost symbol. When you’re ready, freeze the mechanism when it’s near the first symbol at the left.
  • The door that will open is just across from you as seen in the image below.

Door #2

  • For this, you’ll need to unlock the door to your right. Climb up the staircase and you’ll see the mechanical door.
  • There’s an Eye Chest inside, so pop Disillusionment so you can open it while stealthed.

Door #3

  • While you’re on the same scaffolding, check the other staircase. Climb it until you reach another landing.
  • The door is just across from the gap. There are a couple of collections pieces here.

Door #4

  • Last but not least, the last mechanical door can be found just one floor above the same staircase from earlier.
  • You’ll see a balcony and a small wooden door that leads to a balcony. Just across from that is the one that will get unlocked if you freeze the clock near the fourth symbol.
