Hogwarts Legacy: How to unlock Bombarda

Bombarda is a spell in Hogwarts Legacy. With it, you can cast a bolt of energy that explodes to deal area-of-effect (AoE) damage. Here’s our Hogwarts Legacy guide to help you unlock the Bombarda spell.

Hogwarts Legacy guide – How to unlock Bombarda

The Bombarda spell in Hogwarts Legacy becomes available late in the campaign. Essentially, you’d need to complete Charles Rookwood’s Trial, a quest that causes the season to transition to winter, marking the later portion of the game.

Your assignment comes from Professor Howin, your Beasts Class teacher. The tasks are as follows:

• Acquire a Diricawl with the Nab-sack.
• Acquire a Giant Purple Toad with the Nab-sack.

So, where exactly can you find the Diricawl and Giant Purple Toad in Hogwarts Legacy. Well, if you’ve been exploring the map, you may have spotted some nests on the world map:

• There’s a Giant Purple Toad den directly east of Hogwarts Castle.
• As for the Diricawl, there’s a nest further south at the tip of the mountain range in the Feldcroft region.

The same Beast taming concepts apply: cast Disillusionment so you can stay stealthed -> use Levioso on the creature -> pop the Nab-sack and press the button prompts. You should be done in no time, but do watch out for any other hostile creatures nearby.

In any case, return to Professor Howin and trace the pattern. This will unlock the Hogwarts Legacy Bombarda spell. Cast it and watch your enemies go kablooey.
