The yuletide spirit of Jolly St Nick is coming to Hitman on 13 December, in the form of a free bonus episode called Holiday Hoarders. It’ll be absolutely free to all players who have at least the Intro Pack (Paris), in support of the World Cancer Research Fund.
There’s no obligation to donate to the WCRF, but if, in the course of playing in the entertaining murder-sandbox, you fancy donating to help prevent actual deaths from cancer, IO would certainly appreciate it. Indeed, they say “all contributions of any amount are appreciated”.
Holiday Hoarders gives Paris a Christmas make-over, and tasks Agent 47 with preventing a pair of thieves from stealing all the presents. Lethal force will no doubt be necessary; as will dressing up as Santa whenever possible. New, holiday-specific challenges will be included too. This mission doesn’t replace the existing Hitman Paris map, it’s just an optional extra.
As well as all that, 8 December will see the release of the ‘Master Sniper Challenge Pack’, which adds five sniping-related challenges to Sapienza. Far as I can tell, that’s free too (the wording is “automatically added to the game”). Here’s the December line-up, and a Holiday Hoarders trailer.
